So, for the last couple of months we have been meeting virtually every week. We have been using zoom video conferencing to achieve this. Ok, it’s not as much fun as meeting up in person, but it does mean that we can all still keep in touch and stay safe at the same time. Most club members join in via computer but we also have some tablet users and mobile phones have been used to great effect as well. We have had some teething troubles for sure, and telephone support has been provided to iron out those small wrinkles. Overall, it’s been a painless and very rewarding exercise.
I guess if we had any Amateur Television fans in the club (sadly not) we could have had a go with that. Sometimes modern technology and the internet is just hard to beat.
Did I just hear someone mention ft8/4 and poor propagation conditions…
